The Aricha Washing Station is situated just a few kilometers from the town of Yirgacheffe, surrounded by coffee-growing communities including Aricha, Reko, Gersi, Naga Singage, and Idido. Despite its ideal location, the station was left unused until Faysel Abdosh Yonis came into the picture.

Coming from a family of coffee growers, Faysel grew up buying high-quality lots and selling them to exporters. In 2009, he founded Testi Coffee to export his own coffee, and then went on to set up his first washing station in Guji. Recognising the potential of the surrounding communities and the need for proper processing infrastructure, he seized the opportunity when the Aricha site went up for sale.

In 2018, Faysel took over the station and revived it. The first year was challenging with overdue repairs and upgrades, but his efforts paid off. Today, Aricha is one of the best washing stations out of the 28 under Testi Coffee. Lots from the surrounding communities are processed separately to preserve their unique characteristics.

Faysel is a strong advocate for working closely with these communities. Testi Coffee pays premiums to those who deliver cherries exclusively to Aricha and shares profits with them — encouraging continuous quality improvement and nurturing a sense of ownership.

One of Faysel's most significant contributions to the Aricha community has been improving local infrastructure. By collaborating with the regional government, Testi Coffee has extended electricity lines to farmers' homes and built schools for the community's children, laying the foundation for a brighter future.

This coffee is produced by the Reko community, one of several that supply the Aricha Washing Station owned by Faysel Yonis of Testi Coffee. Grown at 1950–2150 m.a.s.l., Reko is among the highest-altitude areas in the region, contributing to its vibrant profile.
